Basketball Program

The Guy V. Lewis Basketball Center

The Guy V. Lewis Basketball Center is in the planning stage. We will have an after school program for area youth to give them a positive physical activity that will build self-esteem, and encourage a team attitude. This will help many young people who otherwise might be latchkey kids.

There will be a competitive basketball team for qualified students at the Impact Center. This will be for students of the Center and select home school students who are doing well in school.

Annually, we will host a basketball camp for the area, and will bring in ex-players of Guy Lewis as well as other known basketball players who are willing and are good role models.

A senior activity area will be set aside for interested seniors where they can come together and enjoy meeting one another in a Christ-centered environment. We will have planned activities that they will enjoy, such as crafts, social events, game nights, etc.

Seniors that stand out as exceptional will be invited to participate in our Grandparent Mentoring program, where we will introduce them to children who are in particular need of the love of a grandparent figure. This program will be planned and monitored for the safety of the children.

The Father's Table

The Father’s Table is an outreach that feeds people in the Impact Center. In addition, we will have classes for everyone on healthy living, organic vs. non-organic, and much more.
We will reach out to area organic farmers for discounts and donations to The Father’s Table, and we will serve only healthy foods that go way beyond the minimum legal requirements.

Farm & Ranch Program

Girls with Lamb

The Heavenly Acres Farm Program is one of our favorites. We will utilize animals, gardening, and nature to teach the children so many things about life. This program will be exceptional for all children & youth, especially those with any kind of emotional or learning challenge.

In the process of enjoying the farm, these children will learn valuable skills, such as animal husbandry, gardening, sustainable living, and so much more. They will help tend to the animals, learn to grow plants from seed, learn about aquaponics, raising chickens, and tending sheep. This program is essential to the life-changing atmosphere we will create for children and youth.

Horse riding therapy will also be offered for those who qualify.

Community & After School Programs

Art, Music, Drama, Dance

Through the arts, children, youth, and adults can learn so many things. In dance, they learn grace and balance, drama is a great way to learn expression, music releases feelings from deep within, and arts and crafts give a hands-on way to speak what sometimes cannot be spoken.

IMPACT Academy

Terry and Deborah raised a son that had a processing disorder. Even as a child, it was obvious that his mind was brilliant, but the path in his brain that processed certain things was different than the path of children who learn well in a traditional classroom environment. As a result, he was unable to learn in that type of setting.
Being Christians, they wanted their son to benefit from a Christian education, but none of the Christian schools they looked at even had an understanding of how to work with those who had any kind of learning challenge, so they homeschooled him. The public schools separate the children that struggle this way, and partially integrate them. However, the mainstream teachers are not educated about how to work with them to unlock their learning potential.
So many of these children are falling through the cracks, being passed from grade to grade without really learning. Often they have behavior issues, either because of their frustration or because of their particular brain challenge, or both. Most of these children are very bright, but they are not attended to the way they need to be.
We believe that homeschooling is the richest environment for children to learn in, but sadly, that is not an option for most parents. The next best thing to a home learning environment is a school that has the love, the emotional support, and the attentiveness that a child benefits from at home.
The IMPACT Academy brings in the loving environment and high adult to student ratio, and blends it with hands-on teaching techniques that work for all children. Our goal with each child is to look at the whole person – body, soul, and spirit. We will have nutritional programs, physical therapy where needed, and we will shower these children with lots of love and attention.
We will integrate children with learning challenges and those in the autism spectrum (not severely autistic) alongside children that have none so that all will benefit from being together. They will balance each other out with their strengths and weaknesses, and because they will each be able to learn at their own pace, no one will be held back and no one will be forced beyond their ability. However, all will be lovingly challenged to be the best they can be; as a person and as a student.
In addition to the daily curriculum, we are planning an arts program that includes visual arts
In addition to the daily curriculum, we are planning an arts program that includes visual arts & crafts, music, drama, and dance. We will frequently take the children to the Heavenly Acres farm where their education will be enhanced by spending time with animals, nature, and learning some farming. We will also incorporate nutrition/cooking/food classes for most of the ages. These programs will also be available to our after-school children and youth, and to the community.

The Father's Table

Food banks and feeding programs for the poor generally have mostly unhealthy food. While it’s good to have food when you otherwise wouldn’t, we want to take it to another level and feed people healthy, nutritious food that will help them to feel good and be healthy.
We intend to visit area organic farms and some of the stores that sell organic produce, meat, eggs, and other items, and ask for donations. Most of these places have an overage that they can give.
We will also offer nutrition classes for anyone in the community.

Professional Therapy for Children & Youth

Horseback Riding Therapy

Horseback riding therapy is a well-established way to help children with certain special needs. We will have a program for the children who need this therapy to help them heal.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a necessity for some, and we will integrate this therapy program for those who need it. We will also have access to chiropractic care, functional medicine, and more.

Counseling for All Ages

Our top notch counseling facility will be open to families and individuals who need it. We will offer a sliding scale fee basis for those who cannot afford it.

Speech Therapy

Many young children are in need of speech therapy to help them get a good start. There may also be older children that, for whatever reason, have challenges with their speech. This is a vital program for any child who struggles to speak correctly.

Job Training & Assistance

We will develop a vocational program that for those who are graduating from our school, home school, or any other school, and who would like to learn a vocation.

We will also have training for older youth and adults who need assistance getting jobs and how to prepare for it.

Parenting Classes

People often learn their parenting from dysfunctional families, or are very young and need assistance and teaching. We will offer special classes free to the public that will support parents in their endeavor to become the best parents they can be.

For those whose children are in the Impact Academy, we will offer mentoring to parents and students together.
